At Churchill College we pride ourselves on our outstanding cusine and friendly service. We have a wide range of menus to ensure we cater for an eclectic range of tastes. A selection of our menus can be seen here.
Formal dining lies at the heart of the Cambridge collegiate experience. Throughout the term members of College gather in the Dining Hall to debate and converse whilst enjoying sumptuous cuisine lovingly prepared by the College chefs.
During vacations we re-create these convivial gatherings for our guests: whether attending large conferences or small celebrations we welcome the opportunity to display our gastronomic flare.
There are a number of rooms available for dining, as follows:
The largest dining hall in Cambridge, this voluminous flexible space can be used for traditional college style dining, themed events with sets and staging, dining with dancing or informal buffets.
A changing display of modern art adorns the walls of this formal dining room; the juxtaposition of traditional and contemporary culture creates a memorable ambience ideally suited for either formal dining, buffets or receptions. Tables can be arranged as a single central table, in herringbone, cabaret or formal high table configurations.
Over looking the Master's Lawn, this tranquil, secluded suite of rooms are ideally suited to intimate gatherings for up to 30. Seating 18 for dinner or 30 for receptions, the two inter-connecting spaces can be flexibly arranged in a number of ways.
Overlooking an inner courtyard garden, this first floor room is traditionally used by College clubs and societies for their celebratory dinners. Wood panelling coupled with some contemporary pictures from the College collection give the room a cosy ambience. (Please note there is no wheelchair access to this room).
