Meetings at Churchill

Modern, well equipped meeting rooms, an accessible yet peaceful parkland setting, and the gravitas of a Cambridge College combine to provide a venue where delegates can achieve their work objectives and also find the time and space to relax and network with colleagues.

Churchill College has been hosting academic and corporate conferences for nearly 50 years. During that time we have welcomed delegates from around the globe and, more recently, through internet technology, broadcast key note speeches back to the world through pod casting and video conferencing.

Our expertise, coupled with our focus on customer service ensure that many clients choose to return every year. The College is perfectly suited to host large multi-site conventions, residential and day conferences, product launches and board meetings.

Wolfson Hall: An air-conditioned theatre with seating for up to 300. A full proscenium stage offers front projection along with full theatrical lighting, a surround sound system, data connections and a dedicated AV technician on hand to ensure every presentation is memorable for its professionalism and visual impact. The full technical specification for the theatre can be found here.

Wolfson Hall Foyer: The lobby of the Wolfson Hall provides an informal networking space for delegates. Featuring PC terminals with free internet access, work stations for those wishing to connect their own lap tops to the free WIFI service, and a dedicated conference organiser's office with printing, copying and facsimile facilities on hand.

Main Concourse: The main concourse is a spacious walkway that leads from the Porters' Lodge to the heart of the College. In summer the wall of windows can be opened to enable guests to spill out onto the lawns and seating, or take refuge in the shade of the magnificent oak tree planted at the College's foundation. With level access from all aspects the concourse is perfectly suited for combining delegate registration, informal receptions and exhibitions. The all day café with free WIFI access can be found at one end of the concourse and forms a central networking space for delegates during their stay.

Jock Colville Hall: The Jock Colville Hall is the College's main display area. This purpose-built exhibition hall, which can also seat 100 people for a lecture style meeting, is a dramatic space with a wall of floor-to-ceiling windows and imposing bronze entrance doors opening onto the extensive College grounds.

Fellows' Dining Room: The Fellows' Dining Room is a very flexible space. With dual aspect windows, natural daylight illuminates the changing display of contemporary art that adorns the walls. The juxtaposition of traditional and contemporary culture gives this room a vibrant ambiance reflecting its purpose as the primary debating space of the College Fellowship. When not required by College this room can accommodate both board meetings on a single large table or presentations with theatre style seating.

Tizard Room: On the first floor of the main College building, with views of the College lawn to one aspect and the extensive playing fields to the other, this light, bright space is equipped with an AV wall which includes data projection, a stereo sound system, white board and flip charts. This purpose built feature ensures that presentations are seamless and trouble free.
